Functions of the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board:

Exercises general management, coordination, and oversight of activities regarding:

• analyzing investment portfolios composed of pension assets and own assets;

• liaising with government bodies, organizations, and individuals on matters within his scope of competence.

Education:

In 2007, graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a degree in Management.

In 2009, graduated from T. Rysskulov Kazakh Economic University with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Finance.

In 2017, graduated from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Tokyo, Japan, with a Master of Economics degree. 

Experience

2009–2011 – Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Supervision of the Financial Market and Financial Organizations: Chief Expert, Off-site Supervision Division, Department for Regulation of Securities Market Entities and Accumulative Pension Funds;

2011–2019 – National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

2011–2014 – Head/Deputy Head, Off-site Supervision Division, Securities Market Department;

2014–2019 – Head, Securities Market Development Division, Securities Market Department;

2019 – Director, Securities Market Department;

2020–2021 – Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Director, Securities Market Department;

2021–2025 – Central Securities Depository JSC: Deputy Chairman of the Board;

From April 25, 2025 – August 31, 2026 – ​​Central Securities Depository JSC: Chairman of the Board.

Since September 25, 2026, Yedil A. Medeu has been appointed Deputy Chairperson of the Executive Board and member of the Executive Board of UAPF JSC.
